I’ve been using this time of self-isolation to really focus on taking better care of my skin and learning how to be confident without make up on. When Vanity Planet reached out to me to try out their new Essia Wand, I was so eager and excited to begin including it in my nightly skincare routine.
The tool has three features: it exfoliates, moisturizes, and lifts. Each feature sends different vibrations into your skin and I will admit I was scared about how it would feel at first but it doesn’t hurt/sting at all and actually feels like a mini facial!
I love how easy it is to use and that it’s not very time consuming. You’re allowed to use the Essia Wand for up to 6 minutes depending on how long you want to use each feature or depending on how long you want to make your skincare routine that night 😉
Thanks to the exfoliation feature I have seen a huge difference in the amount of black heads on my nose and the acne scars on my chin have become less pigmented; an issue I’ve been trying to resolve since high school!!! The moisturizing feature leaves my skin feeling so soft and I can go to bed confident that my moisturizer is actually benefiting and penetrating my skin instead of resting as a thick layer on top of my skin. The lift tool is magical for a gal with a rounder face (hehe, me). During quarantine, my salt intake has been quantified, leaving my face more on the puffy side. I love using the lift feature when I feel my cheeks are extra puffy or if I feel my skin needs some firmness. The lift vibrations feel so nice and I focus the tool on my cheeks the most.
Here is how I include the Essia Wand into my skincare routine every night!
- I wash my face with my favorite cleanser
- Apply my toner
- Apply my moisturizer
- I exfoliate 2-3 times a week with the Essia Wand
- I use the moisturizing feature on the Essia Wand nightly to get the most from my moisturizer
- I use the lift feature about 5 times a week for nice firm skin!
The Essia skincare wand has truly changed my relationship with my skin. I’ve worn make up during self isolation maybe 8 times. I get excited to do my skincare every night and for the first time in a long time I’m seeing amazing results.
I think self-isolation is the perfect time to invest in self-care tools such as the Essia. I am sure we all are feeling the weight of the world on our shoulders and feel out of control; I think it’s important to take power over the things you have control over. One of those things could be your relationship with your skin and creating a better pamper routine for yourself.
I love you guys and I hope you are all staying safe during these times!
xoxo, Marta Courtenay.
